I was with Clive today and I asked what was the ideal maximum number, and he said twenty.

Including myself we now have 21 names on the list, so I think I need to say, "that's all folks".

I will put a couple more names down as first reserves if anyone wants to take the risk of being let down.

I also asked about factory visits over the road, and Clive said that they were not doing any tours at the moment, but he would make a personal request for us and see what is possible.

Having said that we can't take any more people, two people have had to pull out, so we are back to having two spare places.

Hi Emlyn,

Thank you for yesterday, it was great to see the 33 and 72 (and sit in it). Please pass my thanks on to Clive, Paula, Guy and the rest of the CTL team, it was a lovely day

Thanks

Thanks also from Andrew and me.

it was particularly nice to see the car that introduced me to racing and started my interest in engineering.
Strictly speaking that was actually the Lotus 25 driven by Jim Clark in the 1964 British Grand Prix, whereas the Lotus 25 in the workshop was the ninth GP car I saw about 5 seconds later driven by Mike Spence but after 55 years I can't really tell the difference. The Lotus 25/33s are still the race cars I would most like to drive, so elegant and I think, Colin Chapman's best design. A good simple design is so much harder than an average complicated one.
It was good to see Bob Dance who was also there at Brands Hatch the pits as Jim Clark's mechanic, whereas as a 15 year old I was spectating at Dingle Dell.
