Fiat engine to reliant box

Postby Andreas » Mon Feb 28, 2011 10:38 pm

Hello,

can You please help me in finding an adaptor plate and possibly some advice how to fit a Fiat fire engine to a reliant gearbox.
Well at the moment my knowledge in these cars is very limited to be honest ( newby).

With best regards

What angle do you wish to mount the engine to the gear box? Mine was at 35 degrees

Hello Drutt,

thank You for answering, its a good question but to be honest not that easy to tell You.
Are the 35 Deg a common arrangement for oil pick up and the like and what about legroom i.e. pedal box width?

With best regards

Standard fiat is 11-12 degrees.ax knows exactly. Oil pick up was fine with the sump I made. Some people run 45 degrees ok. The pick up depends on how well you make the sump. The problem
I see is oil drain back too the sump but mine seemed ok.
As for leg room mine was mid engined so I wouldn't know!
