Spurious postings

Postby Andrew Gent » Mon Mar 29, 2010 12:01 pm

I seem to be seeing many spurious posting on many of the threads. Most seem to be from a gaming forum. Can someone please check this?

I'm spending upwards of 45 mins per day deleting them at the moment. :-:

Sorry, I'm trying to report the ones I find.

Do you have the rights to remove/delete the user?

They are bots, (comp controlled) so unless you delete the user, they will continue to post.

Hmm, I'll go through and clean it up. I have a feeling that the repairs to the board the other weekend has un-fixed the registration change which I put in to stop it happening..

Registrations have now been re-enabled. Will keep an eye on things to make sure that it doesn't go crazy again.
