Tristesse 7 for sale

Postby agmanRH » Sun Aug 23, 2020 5:25 pm

Hi all,
Just letting people know that the Tristesse 7 is still for sale. I'm sure plenty would like to see more cars on track and this one in particular as well. I'm not the seller if interested please contact Michael Duncan for more details. He isn't on the forum and has tried advertising it on Facebook with no buyers and I was wondering if there's someone on here that wants a car/project then this would be ideal!

Mobile number:07970742975

Thanks,
Rory

Thanks Rory.
I'll let Steve Boother know & he can put it on the website.
It's a good stable car...I've had many a battle with the Tristesse in past years in the hands of Dick Hartle who built it.

Thanks for that!
Be a shame for something like that not to be out on track and just gathering dust. I believe the colour has changed to black now, looking a bit like the Batmobile now lol. He has new photos of the car as well as other bits and Bob's, I've put his email on here so someone contact him about putting newer pictures on the website as well?

The Tristesse is now available for the incredibly low price of £4k. I am amazed that this has not sold. Grab a bargain. More photos can be found on https://750formulachampionship.com/cars-for-sale

This is a cracking car, & for that money it's a steal!

For those that don't know the builder/driver of this car, Dick Hartle was a 750 driver/constructor of note for 50-odd years. His innovations were always at the cutting edge of 750 building & he often made "publications" (see Alan Staniforth's books).

This was the 7th car he built through his long career. In his younger days Dick was also a regular front runner, & his motto was always KISS. This is a simple but very effective car & I had many battles with him & this car in Dick's latter years. Having done many side-by-side "tests" out on track, none of the "big boys" can get past my car on the straights unless I lift & allow them to go past. And when Dick was on form, he & I were exactly the same speed on track. This car is therefore as quick as any in the field....it's just the nut behind the wheel that makes the difference!

Someone needs to grab a bargain!
