Another pic showing an early stage. None of the photos show the completely finished job - not because it's secret, but because I forgot to take any pictures when I ran short of time.

The final job has another transverse baffle plate with trap door to reduce forward surge in the front compartment. I have no idea whether it was necessary but it looked like a big empty space! I have also added a curved plate across the top to keep the oil from rising towards the crank and away from the pickup.

I screwed the thing to some thick plywood while I welded it but it still moved quite a bit.

Mines pretty much the same on the trapdoor Front but without the side doors, the sump is much narrower as I didn't have room for the batwings, hence the accumulator which enters the engine at the front of the oil filter position via the pressure sensor hole, with the new sump and the Accusump I am now able to run with 4 ltrs + which should be ample. I'm also going to raise the charge pressure on the accumulator as the 10 - 15 psi suggested by the makers seams a bit low, I'm going to set it to come in at about 30psi anyone got any thoughts on this ???

Incidently ,,some may be interested to know, that the engine was actually starving itself of oil ( surge) under acceleration not on high g corners. The origional pickup was too near the front and the oil traveled too easily to the back of the sump, No 1 bearing completely shot and ruined the crank as well, ( crank I had was different to my spare engine, and thats another flipping Fiat sory ) this is now central and well guarded. Sorry no pics. I'll post them later when I can get my tech-head on.
